Brand, identity, website, private-cloud infrastructure, and a custom time-tracking PWA for a Sacramento forensic traffic engineering firm

Every visible surface of Altus Forensic — and the systems running underneath. Brand, identity, business cards, branded merchandise, photography, copywriting, marketing site, private-cloud infrastructure, and a custom Progressive Web App that replaced BigTime's time-entry workflow entirely.

20x+

Return on the time-tracking build, in the client's own words

Seconds

To log a full day of hours — down from a daily fight with BigTime

Offline

Entries keep working and sync on their own when the API doesn't

Before

Time entries lived in BigTime, but the team fought the interface every day. Logging hours felt like a second job, and billable time slipped through the cracks because the tool worked against the way people actually think.

After

One clean interface the team genuinely likes opening. Hours log in seconds, sync to BigTime on their own, and keep working when the API doesn't. A daily friction point became invisible — and the ROI landed north of 20x.

Altus Forensic — Brand, identity, website, private-cloud infrastructure, and a custom time-tracking PWA for a Sacramento forensic traffic engineering firm

The work

Altus Forensic is a Sacramento-area forensic traffic engineering firm. The engagement covered everything from first impressions to back-end infrastructure.

We built the brand and identity system — logo, type, color, voice — and carried it across every print and digital surface: business cards, letterhead, proposal templates, and branded merchandise. We wrote the copy, edited the bios, and shaped the positioning that runs across every page of the marketing site.

The firm runs on a private-cloud infrastructure we provisioned and continue to operate — email, file storage, identity, and the application layer all on infrastructure we manage. The team doesn’t think about updates, security, or capacity.

On top of that, we built a custom time-tracking PWA that replaced BigTime’s own time-entry workflow for the whole team. Staff log hours in seconds, entries sync to BigTime automatically, and the app works offline when the API doesn’t. The detail on how that works is on its own page.

The time-tracking build is a textbook example of a focused workflow that actually saves time — one job, automated end-to-end, with a 20x ROI.
